Heart to Art specializes in designing and manufacturing custom framed art and mirrors in-house. Founded in 1988 by Ami Chen, we consult with individuals, developers, interior designers, and architects on residential and commercial projects across Southern California.

A studio built around craft

We import fine art and prints from around the world and keep several thousand original paintings in stock — oil, acrylic, and watercolor — so projects can move from concept to installation without chasing vendors. Artists on staff can reproduce images from Classic Masters to contemporary work when a specific look is required.

Everything we can manufacture, we manufacture ourselves: custom molding, hand carving, gold and silver leaf finishing, mirror cutting and beveling, and installation. That vertical control is why our prices stay competitive and why commercial clients trust us with volume deadlines and coordinated deliveries.

Working in-house also means a project can evolve without being passed from vendor to vendor. A frame profile can be adjusted, a finish can be toned, or a mirror can be reconsidered against the room before installation. Ami remains involved in the decisions that determine how the finished piece looks and functions.

Some clients bring one photograph, inherited painting, jersey, or rolled canvas that needs a thoughtful solution. Others need coordinated art and mirrors for guestrooms, corridors, restaurants, model homes, or entire developments. The scale changes; the attention to proportion, materials, finish, and placement does not.
